Claim Diary: your own record of an insurance claim
Claim Diary is a web app from CaseLens for homeowners with a property insurance claim. It keeps a dated record of every call, letter, visit, promise and expense, with your photos and documents, so you can show what was said and done if the claim is delayed, underpaid or denied.
- A diary of your claim
- Every call, email, letter, visit, inspection, payment and denial, with who you dealt with and what they said. You can dictate entries with your phone's microphone.
- Get it in writing
- After a call or visit with the adjuster, it drafts a short email restating what was said and promised, for you to check and send.
- Promises kept track of
- When someone says they'll do something, note it with a due date. Overdue promises are flagged, and you mark each one kept or not.
- Out-of-pocket costs
- Hotel, meals, mileage, storage and other extra living costs, with receipt photos, the date you sent them in and what was paid back.
- Photos and documents
- Kept privately. Each photo keeps the date, place and camera recorded in it, and every file is fingerprinted, so you can show it hasn't been changed.
- Home inventory
- Photograph and value your belongings room by room before anything happens. After a loss, add the affected items to your claim as the contents list adjusters ask for.
- Print or download it all
- A printable claim record, with your state insurance department's complaint page, and a download of everything, to share with an adjuster, contractor or attorney.
Only you can see your claims and inventory. Claim Diary helps you keep records; it isn't legal advice.
